This creation of rust and metal paint is an exercise in balance. Squares and circles are stacked acrobatically on top of what could be the continent of Africa. These in turn perch on a skyscraper. The skyscraper, despite its majesty, is being swallowed up by earth and sea. Whether one inhabits a penthouse or a thatch-ed hut in a jungle, it’s vital to fully savor, and foolish not to, one's brief sojourn under the sun.

The lovers intertwine above a gaudy flower. Light as air and yet heavy as iron, they need constant renewal in order to survive. Love of the highest order comes through taking risks. Care must be taken, however, not to take even the greatest love too seriously. Accept its splendor with humility and grace - and a touch of whimsy. That offers the best chance of it enduring the tyrant of time.

The hefty leg and foot is in reality a wrench used for pulling up railroad spikes. The sculpture represents a giant step forward for mankind. Atop the leg shaft is a bare-bones Ten Commandments. Above that, a bolted hook. The latter could mean the struggle for freedom from oppression. The tiered base, or dais, supports an Egyptian, or Judaic, monument. In this case, in honor of the lawgiver, Moses.

This Parliament bigwig is at once pretentious and comic. Despite his privileged position, he aims to divert and please. He comes in two pieces making his weighty bulk easier to lift and move about. Invite him into your foyer, den, study, or grand salon. There he will hold court, solemn or whimsical, depending on the mood and occasion.

Observe his strange anatomy.The Plowman is part human and part crustacean. He combines the four elements of creation: fire, water, earth, and air. The upheld touch denotes fire; the divining rod, water. The warrior belt and dagger signify and point toward the earth. The empty spaces in his limbs and ribs, along with his whimsical pose, have airy qualities. He proudly displays war medals and epaulets. The tiny legs jutting from an immense pelvis are those of a court jester and peg-legged pirate res-pectively. The displaced sexual parts are a further anomaly. The Plowman is in every sense a contradiction, both ready for battle and as nakedly inept as Humpty Dumpty.
